I tutor IB Geography with a fairly practical style, drawing on eight years in secondary teaching and a background in urban studies. Most of my students come for help with HL essay structure, Paper 1 timing, and IA wording. I like using current case studies, especially migration, global risks, and cities, because Geography feels easier when it links to real places. I also mark short answers between sessions when deadlines are close.

Hi, I’m an IB Geography tutor who works mainly with students who feel fine in class but freeze when the questions get wordy. I focus a lot on command terms, case-study recall, and getting the IA into a clear argument. Climate change, water scarcity, and population topics are my favourites to teach, so lessons usually have plenty of examples. I’m relaxed in lessons, but I do expect students to practise writing, not just talk through ideas.

I’ve taught IB Geography for 11 years, including HL and SL classes, and I’m used to working with students who need sharper exam answers rather than more notes. My sessions usually involve past-paper marking, quick case-study checks, and IA feedback. I particularly enjoy the global interactions and resource consumption units. Parents often ask me to step in when mock results are lower than predicted grades.

I started tutoring IB Geography after helping classmates with essays and data-response questions during my own studies. I now work with students online, mostly on Paper 2 themes and IA planning. My style is calm and fairly direct: we fix what is unclear, practise it, then check whether the answer would actually score marks. I’m especially useful for students who know the content but struggle to organise it under time pressure.

My IB Geography lessons are quite structured, but not stiff. I usually begin with the student’s current topic, then move into diagrams, evidence, and exam phrasing. I’ve worked with both SL and HL learners, especially on population, hazards, and the IA. I also spend time showing how to trim long answers without losing the point. It suits students who write too much but still miss the top mark bands.
